We were informed by the MA Board of Pharmacy that effective April 2021, they would no longer be approving continuing education programs. That meant one of 2 things for us:

A. Throw in the towel since we’ve been getting programs approved (free) by MA Board of Pharmacy since the beginning of time or…

B. Figure out a way to continue to provide CE credits for our members at a reasonable cost, keep our doors open for our pharmacists to continue networking with other pharmacists and future pharmacists, and continue to be able to offer scholarships to some of our future colleagues.

That’s right, we picked option B. It was a no brainer. Being a part of a professional organization is invaluable. We have probably all needed to reach out to another pharmacist at some point for advice, information, guidance, or of course employment.

So, thanks to Melissa Mattison’s legwork, we are able to partner with WNEU and provide CE programs that will be ACPE approved. These credits will be available to you, online, after our CE program. You will just “claim your credit” with a code that is provided at the end of each program. These credits will be trackable in your NABP CPE monitor. ( No more colorful certificates to come in the mail that you put in a really safe place until you need them and can’t find them lol.)

We needed to increase our membership dues slightly, to $60/year, to cover the cost of the ACPE credits incurred by WNEU. We will continue providing you with engaging programs over the next several years, and we intend to continue doing them on ZOOM.

We’re going to try to use this site, and this blog, to keep in touch with our Pharmacist members. This is where we will share upcoming events, announcements, and other articles of interest. We’re new to this so please provide any feedback and ideas you may have to make us better.
